This book is dedicated to the city of Palermo and her palm trees. This book was created during the first years of the palm tree death caused by weevils (snout beetles) in the mediterrenean region. Palermo has a large number of Palms playing an essential role in the urban image of the city and notably infront of the monuments. A large number of palm trees shown in this book do not exist anymore. The weevils devastated a very large number of palms and within destroyed also an important part of the cityscape.
